Škoda  |  SUPERB

The definition of comfort

The name was chosen with care: Even the first generation of the ŠKODA SUPERB from 1935 became the car manufacturer’s top model. With the modern versions, the brand has reaffirmed this claim – and redefined comfort in the mid-range segment to this day.

Since ŠKODA presented the new edition of the SUPERB at the IAA in Frankfurt in 2001, it has been impossible to imagine a fleet without the model. In Germany, its most important sales market, as many as four out of five SUPERBs produced in the current third generation are used as company cars.

No wonder: frequent drivers in particular appreciate the generous interior space, the prestigious exterior, the powerful yet economical engines and the numerous safety and comfort features. Fleet managers are also impressed by the SUPERB’s excellent value for money ratio and comparatively low running costs.

Long-distance runner

Whether limousine or combi, petrol or diesel – the SUPERB is an excellent companion for long journeys. Different equipment lines bundle many options as standard and ensure a pleasant journey. The “L&K” variant, for example, is decidedly elegant with its leather package, while “Sportline” is particularly dynamic also in the interior thanks to sports seats upholstered in microfibre and leather. Both are equipped with Matrix LED headlights. The technology allows the high beams to be left on when driving without dazzling other road users and provides light modes for different driving situations and weather conditions.

A multitude of assist systems – some of which are familiar from higher vehicle classes – ensure the safety of business travellers. Another plus for company car drivers: the ample boot capacity (625 to 1,760 litres for the limousine and 660 to 1,950 litres for the combi – the values apply to the models with conventional drive) allows a lot to be moved around.

  1. With its dynamically elegant design, the SUPERB is representative.
  2. Several equipment lines, such as “Style”, are available.
  3. The comfort opening can be added to the electrically operated rear lid on all models.

4cast

Now the comfort model is entering its fourth round. The brand new generation of the SUPERB will celebrate its world première as early as the end of 2023. It will then be produced in Bratislava, Slovakia – together with the Volkswagen Passat, as the Volkswagen group entrusted ŠKODA with the responsibility for steering the joint development of both SUPERB and Volkswagen Passat based on Volkswagen Group’s modular transverse matrix (MQB). The new generation will again be available as petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid* models.

Even though the details of the next SUPERB are not yet known, one thing is already certain: it will have all the features that are deeply rooted in ŠKODA’s DNA – an attractive design, spaciousness, the state-of-the-art assistance systems, clever solutions and excellent value for money. And of course, the latest generation will once again set standards in terms of comfort.

Read the exciting history of the SUPERB

The SUPERB 3000 OHV was one of the Czech car manufacturer’s bestsellers in the 1930s. Even then, the model name stood for a comfortable, spacious travel car that was characterised by a high quality of workmanship, extensive equipment and a powerful engine.

1)Official fuel consumption and emission data is not yet available as the type approval procedure has not yet been completed.

The specified fuel consumption and emission data has been determined according to the measurement procedures prescribed by law. On 1 January 2022, the WLTP test cycle replaced the NEDC test cycle fully. This means that NEDC values will not be provided for new type-approved vehicles after this date. The information does not refer to an individual vehicle and is not an integral part of the offer. It is provided solely for the purpose of comparison between the different vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, different tyre formats etc.) may change the relevant vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics; these equipment and accessories, as well as weather and traffic conditions and vehicle handlingaffect fuel consumption, electricityconsumption, CO2 emissions and the driving performance values for a vehicle. Because it involves more realistic testing conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emission values calculated in accordance with the WLTP are in many cases higher than those calculated in accordance with the NEDC. As a result, there may be corresponding changes to vehicle taxation starting on 1 September 2018. Further information about the differences between WLTP and NEDC can be found at www.skoda-auto.de/wltp

Further information on official fuel consumption figures and the official, specific CO2 emissions of new passenger vehicles can be found in the “Guidelines on fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and electricity consumption of new passenger car models”, which is available free of charge at all sales dealerships and from DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern, Germany, or at www.dat.de/co2
